President, LDI Solutions

Josh Dame, President of LDI Solutions, has dedicated his career to advancing sustainable material science with a deep commitment to reducing the use of toxic chemicals that are harming us. His journey began in the summer of 2000, working with a start-up focused on PVC-free medical products. This experience ignited Josh's passion for finding innovative solutions to protect our environment and human health from the unintended consequences of the increasing use of materials in the world.

After co-founding LDI in 2004, his drive for meaningful change led to a defining moment in 2006 when Kaiser Permanente sought alternatives to vinyl for their furniture upholstery. Josh and his team responded by developing EnviroLeather™, a high-performance, eco-friendly upholstery material that positioned the company as a pioneer in sustainable products and a founding member of Kaiser’s Sustainable Fabric Alliance in 2008.

Today, as Josh continues to lead LDI from their facility in Rochester, New Hampshire, his vision is clear: he aims to make a meaningful difference, not only through environmentally conscious products, but also within the workplace. Josh is committed to creating a supportive environment where employees can thrive both professionally and personally. His goal is for LDI to be a haven—where team members feel inspired, valued, and proud to contribute to work that genuinely impacts the world. He has a particular passion for supporting those struggling with mental health challenges and is an active voice and contributor locally.  He encourages the LDI team to reach their personal goals while positively impacting the lives of people around them.

Josh’s personal values underpin his leadership. He advocates for a growth mindset and resilience.  He believes that customer service is a lost art, and he ensures that any business he leads places a premium on the customer experience, treating each interaction with care and respect. A commitment to continuous improvement guides every decision, as Josh pushes for safer, more sustainable solutions, refusing to accept anything less than progress in the face of a global chemical crisis.
